Suspected Brain Fever Claims 75 Lives in North India
Suspected brain fever, encephalitis, has claimed 75 lives in the east part of
India
's north state of Uttar Pradesh in the past two weeks, according to the Press Trust of India on Friday, August 24.
Over 320 people were being treated for the suspected disease in 11 districts of the state, the PTI said, quoting health minister of the state Ramapati Shastri.
The state official said medicines in sufficient quantities had been dispatched to affected areas.
