China Sails into Women's Table Tennis Quarters
China rolled over Chinese Taipei 3-0 to reach the women's table tennis team quarter-finals at the World University Games Friday.
Led by Zhang Yining, the Chinese team didn't drop a single set although Chinese Taipei paddlers caused some troubles by narrowing gaps in most of the sets.
China, with a record of three straight wins, takes on
France
in the quarter-finals.
Despite the loss to China, Chinese Taipei still made the last eight with two wins and one loss in Group A. It confronts South Korea for a semifinal berth.
