China to Become Ericsson's Potential Largest Market

Malm, manager of Ericsson China, said Wednesday that China augurs to be Ericsson's largest market in a situation when Ericsson's facing a sharp slump in its global sales.

In the first half of this year, Ericsson's revenue reaped from China hit US$ 970 million, the No. one country in which Ericsson harvested most in its worldwide sales.

Since this year, many telecom companies in the world set their eyes upon China, regarding it as their last battlefield for making profits when the economic growth in the US and Europe is on the decline with their market sodden.

Malm said China's market remains very stable, while our sale volume to America is almost the same as against that of last year. It is hoped that by the end of this year, China will realize a two-digit growth, thus becoming Ericsson's largest market.
