Sri Lanka
3-0 in Group A.
Liu Guozheng, ranked fourth in the world, crushed Tilina Piyadasa 21-9, 21-11, and his teammates Zhang Yingjie and Xi Minjie both vanquished their rivals.
China's world number one
Wang Liqin
was benched by coach Lu Xianzhao.
