China Women Team Makes Successful Debut in Universiade Table Tennis

Chinese women's team made a successful debut on the opening day of 21st Universiade on Thursday, defeating Macao of China with in straight sets 3-0.

Zhang Yining, the top player in Chinese team and first seed in women's singles event, ousted U Sio-Sa 2-0. U scored only 6 points in two sets totally.

Zhang's teammates Yu Minjie and Jiao Yongli all rolled over their opponents.

After the victory over Macao of China, China has already booked a place in final eight. The Chinese paddlers will face Chinese Taipei later on Thursday. While Macao of China, which lost to Chinese Taipei early this morning, did not make their way to the quarter-finals.
