Chinese Men's Team Edges South Africa at Universiade Table Tennis
Spearheaded by Olympic Champion Wang Liqin, China men's team trounced South Africa on Thursday at the Universiade table tennis group A qualifiers.

Wang Liqin beat South Africa's K.Hernanus Johannes with 21-4, 21-8, while Xi Minjie and Zhang Yong both restricted their opponents' score below 10 points.

China will face big challenge from Chinese Taipei, which grabbed an easy win over Macao of China early in the afternoon, according to Chinese team leader Zhang Yufeng before the matches.

China will later take on another group opponent Sri Lanka in order to advance to the final 16 of men's teams.
