Chinese Paddlers Have Easy Start at Universiade

Chinese young paddlers had a easy start at the University Games table tennis tournament with a dominant 3-0 victory over Moldova in women's Group A competitions.

During the one-hour competition, Chinese players Tie Yana, Niu Jianfeng and Jiao Yongli did not drop a single set.

But Moldova players still caused some troubles, they managed a see-saw match in the beginning of every sets but fell behind after China found its steps shortly afterward.

Zhang Yining, ranked third in the world, was benched by the coach.
