Central Committee Meeting of Vietnamese Communist Party Concludes

The third plenum of the ninth Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) concluded here Wednesday after 10 working days, according to a Communique of CPV Central Committee released here Wednesday.

The plenum, begun on August 13, discussed and approved the working regulations of CPV Central Committee (CPVCC), as well as working regulations of CPVCC's Political Bureau, Secretariat and Inspection Commission, and a working agenda of the ninth Central Committee of CPV.

The plenum, chaired by General Secretary of CPVCC Nong Duc Manh, also adopted a resolution on continued renovation and development of the State-owned enterprises.

The plenum has also set a task of basically finishing the readjusting, restructuring state-owned enterprises and renovating activities of the state-owned enterprises for the 2001-2005 period.

The plenum appealed to the whole party and people of Vietnam to carry forward their tradition, overcome all difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities, well implement the resolutions of the third plenum of ninth Central Committee of CPV and fulfill the target of the five-year plan for the 2001-2005 period set by the 9th Congress of CPV.
