Ho Chi Minh City Expo 2001 to be Held

An international exhibition on Vietnam-made goods, Ho Chi Minh City-EXPO 2001, is expected to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 10-15.

As many as 245 businesses have so far this year registered to display their products at 334 stalls at the exhibition, announced the city's trade service on August 17.

The exhibition will be an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to seek partners and expand outlets for products.

Foreign businesses have registered to take part in the exhibition, including the US Amcham, Japan's Jetro, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Trade New Zealand, Australia's Austrade, India's Incham and Italian Trade Commission.

Seminars on export promotion to traditional and new markets such as the United States, Japan and EU are to be held during the exhibition.
