South Korean Women's Basketball Team to Compete in Universiade

South Korea became the latest and 15th team in the women's basketball competition in the 21st World University Games, the games organising committee said on Sunday.

An official of the organising committee said South Korea registered on Saturday for the women's basketball competition, which to start on Tuesday.

There are 22 men's teams and 15 women's teams to contend in the 11-day Games, with more teams joining in lately before the official set-off of the Games on Wednesday, the official said.

Teams could register anytime before the start of the Universiade.
