First Law School for Youth Set Up
China's first law school based in a residential community to train young people was established Friday in Beijing, marking the beginning of a nationwide campaign in building such schools across the country.
The campaign, jointly initiated by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and some other departments of CPC Central Committees, aims to enhance young people's awareness of laws and regulations through various educational activities.
About 5,000 such schools will be built in three to five years in China's residential compounds, and some 10 million young people are estimated to attend the training courses conducted by specialists in legal education and young volunteers.
