American Pianist to Give Concert in South China's HainanAmerican pianist Linda Gentille will give a concert in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, on September 2.Sources from the Hainan Provincial Center for International Cultural Exchange, the concert organizer, said that the American female pianist will play Chinese and foreign music works, including "Unchained Melody" from "Ghost", the theme music from " Gone with the Wind", as well as "Butterfly Lovers", China's most famous romantic music piece. This is the fourth concert tour the American pianist has done in China since 1998 and Gentille is now popularly known as the " American piano princess" among Chinese music lovers. Before her performance in Haikou on the current tour, Gentille also held concerts in a number of other Chinese cities, including Taiyuan, capital of north China's Shanxi Province. |
