International Forum on Nomadic Culture Ends in Mongolia

A two-day international scientific forum titled "Interaction between nomadic and other cultures of central Asia" ended in Mongolia Thursday.

About 120 scholars from 17 countries attended the meeting, including China, the United States, Russia, Germany, France, Hungary, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Turkey, Iran and the United Kingdom.

The scholars made reports on issues of the world and central Asian civilization, exchanged views on how to adapt the nomadic civilization to settlement civilization, and determined research goals.

The attendees also shared views on desertification, cattle- breeding and literature during the meeting.

The symposium was organized by the Education, Culture and Sciences Ministry of Mongolia and UNESCO.
