China Forbids Any Trade Activity from Running Against Security Council's Resolutions on Iraq
The Chinese government has so far not discovered any trade activity between China and Iraq that runs against related resolutions of the UN Security Council and China always forbids any such activity.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Sun Yuxi made the remark here Thursday when asked to comment on the United States' Wall Street Journal's report that Chinese companies are helping Iraq upgrade its air defense system.
Sun said that on the issue of executing the Security Council's resolutions to sanction Iraq, the Chinese government has always held a consistent, clear and firm attitude, and forbids any enterprise or individual from conducting economic or trade activities that run against the Security Council's resolutions on the issue of Iraq.
He said that not long ago related departments of the Chinese government reiterated related regulations. If there is any case that runs against the Security Council's related resolutions, it will be seriously handled.
