Universiade Main Press Center Opens
The Main Press Center (MPC) of the 21st World University Games opened its doors on August 15 to welcome journalists from home and abroad.
According to Zhang Dingquan, director of the MPC, the MPC will have such facilities as accreditation center, telcommunication service center, private offices and common work room with 350 seats.
"We will try our best to provide a comfortable and user- friendly press center to journalists," said Zhang Tingquan, a veteran pressmen.
According to the organizing committee, more than 2500 journalists including those from CNN, AFP, AP and Reuters have applied to cover the Universiade.
The 21st University Games will be held from August 22-September 1.
