Heilongjiang Seeks Business Opportunity in HK
A green food fair was initiated at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on August 15 by northeast China's Heilongjiang province to boost its exports and exploitation of green food industry.
According to Shen Liguo, deputy governor of the province, over 70 projects in green food industry in the province were introduced during the fair to seek partnership of cooperation and development.
Heilongjiang boasts vast farmland of black soil, with a total 690,000 hectares farmland producing more than 210 kinds of green food, accounting for 11.5 percent of China's total, Shen said.
A trade contract, totaling over one billion yuan (about 121 million US dollars), was signed between the province's Zhaodong City and Hong Kong businesses Wednesday morning, according to Shen.
