Liaoning Destroys Large Quantity of Illegal Publications

A large amount of illegal cultural products were destroyed Tuesday in Shenyang, this capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.

The Liaoning Provincial Culture Department and the Shenyang City Bureau of Culture jointly launched this move involving the destruction of 312,000 pirated VCD's, 59 electronic game machines, 22 computers, 190 gambling machines, and 8,400 copies of pirated books and magazines.

Liaoning Province also rectified the market order around campus' surroundings in this move. Law enforcers checked a total of 720 public places, including video and audio stores, electronic game halls, Internet bars and stores handling publications. They punished 480 stores for selling illegal publications.
