FISU Chief Killian Arrives in Beijing
George E. Killian, president of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), arrived in Beijing Tuesday night to attend the 21st World Universiade.

Killian expressed his satisfaction with the preparatory work by the Beijing Organizing Committee, saying "the 21st World Universiade in Beijing will be very successful."

Vice-mayor Liu Jingmin, executive vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee, held a brief welcoming meeting at the airport.

The 21st World University Games will be held in Beijing from August 22 to September 1. It is expected to draw a record of 7, 000 athletes from over 160 countries and regions.
