Lee Teng-hui Rigs up a New Party

กฐTaiwan United Union", the new party following Lee Teng-hui's "special state-to-state" fallacy and aiming to help Taiwan authorities hold fast to the reins, held its founding conference in Taipei on Sunday afternoon. Peng Ming-Min and Lee Teng-hui, as two bigshots of notoriety for "Taiwan independence", let out a spate of stuff, preaching splittism and the so-called "nativitization" at the conference.

Controlled by Lee Teng-hui, the former leader who has retired but still takes no rest, the new party has followers recruited and tumult caused in Taiwan. It has its members mainly from among those of Lee Teng-hui's trusted subordinates out of the Kuomintang (KMT). Flaunting the banner of "nativitization", they widely advocate for inter-group split among the Taiwan people. They accuse the KMT of "diverging from the line of "nativitization" and ascribe the blame to the "opposition union" for the confusion of Taiwan's political situation arising from the splittism of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and DPP leaders installed for "Taiwan independence". They also threaten to seize 35 seats in the "legislature" election at the yearend so as to ally with the DPP.

Taiwan media are considerably worried about the founding of the new party. They fear that "legislature" election by the yearend will be immersed in "inter-group disputes" among the Taiwan people, the struggle between parities will be fiercer, and the "Taiwan independence" force become more rampant.
