Crystal Industry Booming in Donghai

Donghai, a coastal county in Jiangsu Province, east China has seen the crystal industry booming in the past several years. Donghai's reserves of crystals and quartz accounts for more than half of the country's total. The county now has hundreds of firms engaged in mining, production and processing.

Thirteen pandas being raised in southwest China's Sichuan Province are likely to have babies this fall, experts at Giant Panda Breeding Technology Committee of China (GPBTCC) said Saturday.  

Duck Raising Booms in Shandong Town

Zhang Tao, specializing in duck raising, drives ducks to the coop in Linpan, Linyi County, Shandong Province. The town, with 733 hectares of saline-alkali land, encourages villagers to transform the land and develop a breeding industry. At present, 500,000 ducks raised in 518 reformed pools produce 25,000 kilograms of eggs daily and are sold in Beijing and Tianjin.

Millennium Bridge Under Renovation for Reopening
