China Joins World Rank in Router TechniqueCore router for "China hi-speed information demonstration network", a key project for state's 863 Program, has passed evaluation by the Ministry of Science and Technology August 9 in Beijing.This shows China has made great breakthroughs in core router technique for a new-generation broadband network, therefore joins the rank of a world few claiming such technique. Professor Wu Jiangxing, at the head of the research team of the project, says this is of great significance for building a new-generation network, a success as big as that on Digital PABX System in mid 90s. As an essential device of Internet, core router can lift information transmission speed by thousand times.
