Wang Juntao Resigns His Post as My8848 Board Chairman

On August 8, Wang Juntao announced his resignation of his job as board chairman of My8848.net and legal representative of the company.

Wang says in a statement that since last April serious difference has occurred in shareholders' views on carrying out agreements and distributing benefits, which has seriously affected the company's routine operation and follow-up development. While his two months' mediation failed to fulfill the wishes for bridging divergence among shareholders and ensuring the smooth progress of the business goals originally set by the board of directors. Wang said he was "deeply distressed " about this.

In his resignation statement published via sina.com, Wang says he still believes China's B2C service and the entire e-business is now in the best period for development, with its environment much better than that he predicted two years ago when he set up 8848.net.

Wang discloses that the managerial body has pledged to the company's board of directors that profits can be reaped in July and August this year. As an early explorer of China's B2C business Wang expressed his respects for his colleagues and hopes to continue his efforts for China's e-commerce.
