Academicians to Gather at Annual Conference on Science, Technology
Some 130 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering will attend the annual national conference on science and technology this year, to be held September 13-16 in Changchun, this capital of northeast China's Jilin Province.
Meanwhile, more than 4,000 delegates nationwide, including both scientists and government officials in charge of science and technology development, are expected to attend the conference.
During the four-day conference, academicians and other experts will give lectures on information science, micro-electronic technology, life science, bio-technology, biological and environmental science.
Since 1999, the conference has been held annually. The first two sessions were held in Hangzhou and Xi'an, respectively.
