Iranian President Khatami Sworn in for Second Term
Iran
's Majlis (parliament) here on Wednesday held a swearing-in ceremony for President Mohammad Khatami, who was re-elected by a landslide victory in June 8 general elections.
The oath-taking, initially scheduled for Sunday, was delayed due to a row between the reformist-controled parliament and the conservative judiciary over the election of vacant seats to the oversight Guardian Council.
