China to Hold West Forum in September
The "China West Forum 2001" will be held from September 4 to 6 in Xi'an, capital of west China's Shaanxi province.
"The topic of this forum is investment environment and opening to the outside world in China's western regions," Cheng Andong, governor of Shaanxi province said here Wednesday.
The 12 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in west China will make presentations at the forum.
The forum will invite representatives from the world's top 500 companies and other famous businesses from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries, Cheng said.
Chinese leaders will address the forum on governmental policies and measures concerning the development of the western regions, he said.
