HK Inter-city Bridge Championships Begins

Teams and players from Japan, the Philippines, United Kingdom, China, Chinese Taipei and Chinese Hong Kong started their melee of the Inter-city Bridge Championships in Hong Kong on August 7.

Defending champion AIA team from Taipei, the first runner-up of the last World Bridge Championships, vowed to repeat their last- year's glory at this tournament, while the Singapore Asia-pacific Championships winner Hong Kong's Plus is hoping to bring their overseas fortune back home.

The players from 46 teams are to be engaged into IMP pairs, midnight speedball, open pairs, team play-offs, Swiss final, Swiss pairs CSL, celebrity pairs and many other events during the six- day championships.
