Shanxi City's s Account for 40 Percent of China's Total
Jiexiu in north China's Shanxi Province ranks first in China for its coke exports, or 40 percent of the country's total.
Customs statistics show the city exported 2.2 million tons of coke in the first six months of this year, accounting for 61.3 percent of the province's total, or 40.2 percent of the country's total, namely, 5.5 million tons.
The city's coke exports earned foreign currencies worth 155 million US dollars, up 15.4 percent from the same period last year.
The city is presently China's largest coke producing base.
