Beijing Hosts Symposium on Grand Photo Exhibition

A symposium was held Monday to sum up a photo exhibition which debuted in late June to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Ding Guangen head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the CPC Central Committee's Political Bureau, said at the symposium that it is a successful exhibition, which has spread President Jiang Zemin's "Three Represents'" theory and received favorable comments from the people.

The month-long exhibition, at the Museum of the Chinese Revolution in downtown Beijing, is a result of contributions from all involved, said Ding, who also expressed his gratitude and congratulations to them.

About 1.2 million people have visited the exhibition. Visitors include students, soldiers, government officials, foreign envoys and representatives from international organizations.

General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Jiang Zemin wrote an inscription for the exhibition, which shows that the CPC has always represented the development requirements of China's advanced social productive forces, the progressive course of China 's advanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the Chinese people.

The exhibition also illustrates, with photos and material objects, the splendid achievements made by the whole Party and the Chinese people under three generations of leadership, with Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin at the core, said the participants.
