Following are the latest figures about China's foreign trade with countries and regions in the six continents around the world in the first six months of 2001, provided by the General Administration of Customs:
-- Asia: 137.259 billion U.S. dollars, up 10.1 percent year-on- year; Exports, 65.905 billion U.S. dollars, up 8.3 percent; Imports, 71.353 billion U.S. dollars, up 11.8 percent.
-- Europe: 46.555 billion U.S. dollars, up 17.2 percent; Exports, 23.643 billion U.S. dollars, up 11.5 percent; Imports, 22. 912 billion U.S. dollars, up 23.7 percent.
-- North America: 41.100 billion U.S. dollars, up 9.2 percent; Exports 26.646 billion U.S. dollars, up 6.1 percent; Imports, 14. 454 billion U.S. dollars, up 15.4 percent.
-- Latin America: 6.132 billion U.S. dollars, up 16.7 percent; Exports, 3.717 billion U.S. dollars, up 14.8 percent; Imports, 2. 415 billion U.S. dollars, up 19.7 percent.
-- Africa: 5.299 billion U.S. dollars, up 12.4 percent; Exports, 2.842 billion U.S. dollars, up 20.7 percent; Imports, 2.457 billion U.S. dollars, up 4.1 percent.
