Facts and Figures: China's Imports from Australia

Following are the facts and figures about China's main import commodities from Australia in the first six months of 2001, released by the General Administration of Customs:

Overall imports from Australia: 2.425 billion US dollars, down 2.0 percent on a yearly basis.

Mineral products: 677.805 million US dollars.

Chemical products: 349.893 million US dollars.

Textile raw materials and products: 329.493 million US dollars.

Base metals and products: 283.926 million US dollars.

Jewelry and noble metals: 243.542 million US dollars.

Plant products: 179.044 million US dollars.
