Facts and Figures: China's Imports from Argentina

Following are the latest facts and figures about China's main import commodities from Argentina in the January-June period of 2001, released by the General Administration of Customs:

Overall imports from Argentina: 253.298 million US dollars, down 6.8 percent from the same period of last year.

Plant products: 129.918 million US dollars.

Leather and fur products: 38.697 million US dollars.

Base metals and products: 20.262 million US dollars.

Textile raw materials and products: 17.058 million US dollars.

Animal and vegetable oil: 13.794 million US dollars.
