Facts and Figures: China's Imports from Brazil

Following are the facts and figures about China's major import commodities from Brazil in the first six months of 2001, released by the General Administration of Customs:

Overall imports: 881.611 million US dollars, up a year-on- year 64.9 percent.

Mineral products: 366.036 million US dollars.

Plant products: 177.725 million US dollars.

Food and beverage: 60.814 million US dollars.

Pulp, paper products and cardboard: 51.811 million US dollars.

Machinery, audio and video products and accessories: 42.262 million US dollars.

Base metal and products: 39.027 million US dollars.
