Shanghai Satellite TV to Land in Taiwan
Satellite television programs produced by Shanghai TV Station is to be available to viewers in Taiwan amid a growing cultural and economic exchanges between the two regions.
Zhu Yonglei, president of Shanghai Television Station, said the broadcasting service will provide business information for Taiwanese investors.
Satellite TV programs produced by Shanghai Television Station ( STS) will enter Taiwan's cable TV network, said Zhu.
But negotiation is still going on regarding the timing of launching the service.
Fast-growing Shanghai has been a popular place for Taiwanese investors in recent years.
A total of 284,000 Taiwanese came to Shanghai as investors, travelers, visitors or students last year.
