Beijing-Silicon Valley Investment Talk Held

-Silicon Valley 2001 Investment Summit opened in Beijing Hotel. The summit was sponsored by Zhongguancun Sci-Tech Park Management Committee and undertaken by Beijing
Taiwan
Merchants Investment Service Center and Meihua Investment Corporation.
The two-day meeting mainly focused on the topics of technology and achievement transfer and joint ventures and cooperation in sci-tech fields. Project briefing and business talks were also held during the meeting.
Zhang Mao, vice mayor of Beijing, said in the opening ceremony that Beijing has abundant intellectual resources and the Silicon Valley is rich with hi-technology and experiences in finance and promotion. That makes it possible for the two sides to carry on close cooperation by way of complementing advantages and benefiting each other.
Present at the meeting are several hundred enterprises with
Hong Kong
and Taiwan enterprises showing great interests in hi-tech cooperation. Institutions including Taiwan Investment Consortium and Taipei Computer Business Consortium offered their strong support to the meeting.
