Xiamen Customs Sees Increase in Tax Revenue
The customs of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone in east China's
Fujian
Province reported a 15.6 percent increase in duties collected in the first half of this year.
Customs statistics show that a total of 3.03 billion yuan (365 million US dollars) in duties were collected in the period, up 405 million yuan (48.8 million US dollars) from the same period of last year.
State-owned enterprises and overseas-funded companies are the main sources of duties, and capital goods like crude oil are major goods for duties, according to the customs.
