China Moves to Ease Air Traffic Jam

Aircraft flying in the Chinese territorial air space have had four more flight heights to choose from as of Wednesday, a move taken by China to ease air traffic jam.

Thursday's Beijing Morning Post quotes a spokesman for North China Air Traffic Bureau as saying that the four new flight heights are 6,300 meters, 6,900 meters, 7,500 meters and 8,100 meters.

Previously, there were only five flight height levels for air traffic, namely 6,000 meters, 6,600 meters, 7,200 meters, 7,800 meters and 8,400 meters.

The move is expected to ease air traffic jam on the air corridor.
