China Holds Symposium on Mongolian Culture
An academic symposium focusing on the ancient book of "Secret History of Mongolia" was held on August 2 in Hohhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in north China.
Experts on Mongolian culture from Mongolia, Japan, Russia and China attended the symposium, exchanging their new achievements in the research of the book.
As the first book written in Mongolian, "Secret History of Mongolia" reflects the literature and social life in the early days of Mongolian history, presenting precious reference materials to the researchers.
The symposium is sponsored by the Inner Mongolia Teachers' University, which organized a similar symposium in 1988.
