China Investment, Cooperation Expo Scheduled for October

The first China Commercial Investment and Cooperation Project Exhibition is scheduled to open on October 23 in Beijing.

A series of summit meetings will be held during the exhibition, which include a commercial capital summit, a retail summit and an assembly among members of China's General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC), sponsor of the exhibition.

The organizing committee has so far received over 500 project proposals for the exhibition, which will attract enterprises from 25 mainland provinces and municipalities, the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao, Taiwan province,

Japan, the United States, Europe and some southeast Asian countries and regions.

During the exhibition, investors and enterprises at home and abroad will be invited to hold a series of discussions on such topics as commercial investment and cooperation, management introduction, consultation and occupation training.

An official of the CGCC said the exhibition, which will be held annually, aims to enhance exchanges among the commercial enterprises, help them explore investment and financing channels and relocate more efficiently their commercial resources.
