China to Hold International Tourism Commodity Expo
The annual China International Tourism Commodity Expo will be held in Wuhu, in east China's Anhui Province, from September 20.
"The exposition aims to increase the production and transaction capability of tourism commodities to meet the various demands at home and abroad, "Gao Weiqing, director of the Anhui Province Tourism Bureau said Thursday during a press conference.
He said the five-day exposition will also attract many foreign business people, including those from Italy, Spain, Germany, France and Japan.
Auctions and forums will also be held during the period. On display will be various commodities including domestic and foreign stamps, traditional handicraft and snacks.
The expo is sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade together with the local government.
