Nanjing Lukou Airport Opens Regular Int'l Air Route

The Lukou Airport in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, announced Wednesday that it will open Nanjing-Seoul air route, the first regular international air route for the airport.

According to a contract, the Chinese part of the air flight will be operated by the Jiangsu company of the China East Airlines, and the Korean part will be handled by Asiana Airlines.

Though Nanjing Lukou Airport has opened Nanjing-Nagoya, Nanjing- Bangkok, and Nanjing-Kuala Lumpur air routes, all of the above are date-fixed passenger charter flights, and have brought inconvenience to passengers who are not permitted to carry cargo.

The East Airlines has decided to use the Airbus A320, and started to employ Korean stewards.
