China to Issue More Sports Lottery to Aid 2008 Olympics

According to Beijing Morning Post, China begins to issue Olympics lottery tickets today for Beijing's host of the Olympic Games, but the lottery tickets do not have much difference with the other sports lotteries in appearance.

China has approved the issuance of 1 billion additional sports lottery tickets every year starting this August. The funds raised from the lottery will be mainly used for the 2008 Olympic Games, 40 percent of which will be used in the construction and maintenance of various sports arenas and facilities.

From this August on China Sports Lottery Center will launch two kinds of Olympics lottery tickets of great commemorative significance to cater to the needs of lottery collectors and buyers to help them know more about Olympics and offer better support to the games. The design of part of the commemorative sets has been brought to an end and it is going to be a new preference for lottery collectors because of its special significance, delicate design and limited issuance volume.
