The first China-Norway international seminar on polar regions opened Monday in Shanghai, attracting nearly 100 scientists from China, Norway, the United States and Sweden.
In the coming five days, the participants will focus on discussions on the study of aero-physics, sea ice physics, polar light and the ionized layer over polar regions.
They will showcase their research achievements and seek further cooperation.
China and Norway has maintained good cooperative ties in the research of polar regions.
