Tangshan City to Attract More Returned StudentsNorth China's Tangshan city will create a better environment to attract students studying abroad to return home to participate in the city's economic development, said governmental officials.According to sources at a recent activity for returned students in the city, the government will continue to encourage returned personnel, especially experts with research experience in advanced technology and corporate managers, to work in the city. In order to help the returned students, the government is trying to raise its work efficiency, launch a venture capital system, improve legal system, draw up preferential policies and help them solve major problems. Tangshan, which was devastated in 1976 by an unprecedented earthquake, has been rebuilt as a modern city through more than 20 years' efforts. Currently, about 240 returned students work in the city, which maintains direct link with 480 overseas scholars and 13 related organizations. |
