Chinese vice-premier Qian Qichen met Sunday with Stanislaw Zajac, deputy speaker of the House of Representatives of Poland, and his party.

Qian said that the friendship between China and Poland has a long history and China, as always, will support the development of Poland.

The two countries have vital disputes and China respects the choice by the Polish people, Qian said, adding that the economic cooperation between China and Poland will see sustained development.

He said that China attaches great importance to the exchanges between the two congresses, believing the Poland-China friendship group in Polish congress will play a special role in promoting the friendship between the two countries.

Zajac appreciated China's warm welcome and Qian's meeting, saying that Poland values the relations with China and hoping more Chinese leaders to visit Poland.

He expressed the wish to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
