US Secretary of State Colin Powell left Beijing early Sunday morning, concluding his visit to China.
During his stay in Beijing, Chinese President Jiang Zemin, Premier Zhu Rongji and Vice Premier Qian Qichen met with him respectively, and Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan held talks with him.
Powell, who arrived here Saturday morning as Tang's guest, was the highest ranking U.S. official to visit China since President George W. Bush's administration took office in January.
