600 Grams of Heroin Recovered at Karachi Airport

Customs staff of the Drug Enforcement Cell posted at Karachi International Airport have apprehended a Liberian national and recovered 600 grams of heroin from him, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported on Friday, July 27.

The accused was nabbed before he could board a plane for Nairobi via Dubai.

A thorough search of his baggage led to the recovery of fine quality contraband drug concealed in the metallic frames of two tricycles.

Following the recovery and seizure of heroin powder, the accused passenger was arrested and a prosecution case under Control of Narcotics Substances Act, 1997, registered against him.
