Beijing to Host Int'l Children's Chorus Festival

Top children's choruses from China, Denmark, Argentina and Slovenia will sing at an international chorus festival in the Chinese capital next week.

The Second China International Festival of Children Choirs, scheduled for July 30 to August 3, will include the Yinfan (Silver Sail) Choir of the Beijing Children's Palace, the Danish Boys Choir, the Ars Nova Children and Youth Choir of Argentina, and choirs from Slovenia and Hong Kong.

Major events in Beijing include a concert and a lecture for chorus teachers. The choirs will also make tours to Hong Kong, Guiyang and Guangzhou cities.

The festival is a top-level children's choir event in China, under the guidance of an international association of choirs, according to the festival organizers, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and the Beijing Management Center of Student Activities.
