Investment of Coca-Cola in China Hit US$1.1b

From 1979 up till now, the US Coca-Cola Corporation has invested US$1.1 billion in China's mainland. This was revealed Thursday at an ingenious news briefing at Beijing Shahe Airport by a senior personage of the Corporation.

Zhang Guohua, vice president and marketing director of Coca-Cola (China) Co., Ltd., said at the briefing that China's success of the 2008 Olympic Games bid would vigorously promote its economic growth. As the world largest beverage company Coca-Cola has full confidence in China's economy and will further intensify its investment in China. It has mapped out a plan to invest in China's western regions.

Another senior person of Coca-Cola said that as one of the famous sponsors for every Olympic Games, Coca-Cola finds it no exception to support the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
