CNOOC Signs New Contract with Canada Husky
China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) signed an oil exploration contract with the Husky company of
Canada
, the second such contract signed between the two companies.
The exploration area is located in the Pearl River Basin of South China Sea, covering 5,700 sq km. Exploration will continue for seven years, according to the contract.
The contract is also the second one CNOOC has signed with a foreign oil company this year.
