Projects Open for Overseas Investors in Shenyang

A total of 118 projects needing investment of 12.5 billion US dollars are now open to overseas investors, according to a press conference held in this capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province Thursday.

The projects will cover seven sectors such as industry, agriculture and the high-tech industry in the city. Many of the projects have been selected as either provincial or national key projects for their scientific and technological importance.

Shenyang, the economic center of China's northeast area, has decided to invest 184 billion yuan (22.2 billion U.S. dollars) in fixed assets during the 10th Five-Year Plan Period (2001-2005), which will lay a sound foundation for the local economic development.
